Geotechnical Drilling Rigs

Vessel-mounted geotechnical drilling for offshore site-investigation campaigns — GMTR 120 and GMTR 150 builds delivered for Dina Polaris, Greatship Ragini and FUKADA POSEIDON-1.

Overview

Geotechnical Drilling Rigs

Vessel-mounted geotechnical drilling rigs engineered for deepwater seabed sampling, CPT testing and offshore wind site investigation. Two production builds — the GMTR 120 (120 MT class, single-tower) and the GMTR 150 (150 MT class, twin-tower with 6 m compensator rams). Both share a modular skid platform with integrated active motion compensation, sample-handling winches and Hydraulics Power Pack & Control Modules — vessel-of-opportunity ready in under 5 days. Project deliveries: GMTR 120 on the Dina Polaris and Greatship Ragini; GMTR 150 on the FUKADA POSEIDON-1.

Key Features

  • Two production builds — GMTR 120 (120 MT class) and GMTR 150 (150 MT class, twin-tower)
  • Up to 200 m sub-seabed sampling capability
  • Active heave compensation — 6 m compensator rams on the GMTR 150
  • Compatible with PCPT, T-bar and full geotech sample suite
  • Modular skid design — vessel-of-opportunity ready in under 5 days
  • Integrated CPT & SBF umbilical winches and SBF compensation system
  • Hydraulics Power Pack & Control Modules — full PLC supervision

Engineering, fabrication, FAT and offshore commissioning of two vessel-mounted geotechnical drilling rig platforms. The GMTR 120 single-tower build mobilised onto the Dina Polaris and Greatship Ragini for deepwater sampling campaigns; the larger GMTR 150 twin-tower build with 6 m compensator rams installed on the FUKADA POSEIDON-1 for high-throughput offshore wind and platform-foundation site investigation.
