Geo Caspian — Skipsteknisk CD · Turnkey Conversion to a Carousel-Equipped Cable Lay Vessel

Design Skipsteknisk CD Built 2010 · Fosen Mek, Norway

A 24 m beam sister hull to Geo Celtic, delivered by Dimension as a turnkey conversion through partner shipyards, with leading vendor support across the mission spread — ≈3,600–4,000 t of fibre-optic cable (3,400 t carousel plus 600 t spare tanks), or ≈2,500 t of power cable — with 167 t continuous bollard pull, the highest in the fleet, and dedicated inter-array cable (IAC) handling. The complete fibre-optic mission spread is supplied new.

Bollard Pull & IAC Capability

Highest Bollard Pull in the Fleet

A near-sister to Geo Celtic, sharing the same 24 m beam and 20.5 m carousel arrangement — but with the fleet's highest bollard pull at 167 t and a dedicated power-cable spread, making ST327L the candidate of choice for combined lay, burial and inter-array cable (IAC) scope.

  • 24 m beam takes a 20.5 m carousel — ≈3,400 t of fibre-optic cable, or ≈2,500 t of power cable, plus spare tanks for a further ≈600 t of fibre-optic capacity, ≈3,600–4,000 t working load.
  • Class-leading bollard pull — 167 t continuous bollard pull, the highest in the fleet, with a dedicated power-cable spread (30 t quadrant, 5 t and 15 t tensioners) for IAC work.
  • An all-new mission spread — burial ROV, DOHB, stern sheaves and MD3-XT plough, all new and supplied through Dimension's vendor partners.
